Smart Energy & Grid Infrastructure

The energy stack is no longer a meter and a tariff. It's a portfolio — solar arrays, battery systems, EV chargers, flexible loads — each producing data every second, each interacting with markets, regulators and grid operators. The software that ties this together is not an app; it's distributed infrastructure. We engineer platforms that treat this complexity as the default case, not the edge case. Event-driven, OCPP-aware, market-integrated, and built to give operators and investors the same view of the asset.

Entry point

One architecture, four asset classes

Solar, storage, EV and grid services share the same engineering DNA — telemetry ingestion, state reconciliation, market and regulatory interfaces, multi-tenant analytics. We build the shared core once and adapt it per asset class, instead of stacking four disjoint products on top of each other.

What we build

What we build

01

Smart Energy Platforms

Distributed infrastructure for energy retailers, aggregators and VPP operators. Event-driven control, portfolio intelligence, telemetry pipelines that survive a million devices and a regulator audit at the same time.

02

Solar Operations

Operational software for utility-scale and commercial solar — performance monitoring, market routing, PPA and direct-marketing compliance, investor-grade analytics. Built to match the reporting depth that lenders and asset managers actually expect.

03

Battery Storage (BESS)

Lifecycle and revenue intelligence for battery storage assets. Grid services orchestration, degradation tracking, market participation across day-ahead, intraday and balancing. State of charge and state of health as first-class data, not derived metrics.

04

EV Charging Infrastructure

Network architecture for charge point operators and e-mobility providers. OCPP 1.6 / 2.0.1, OCPI roaming, grid integration, tariff and authorisation logic, operations dashboards that work for a field technician at 22:00 in winter.

Engineering principles

Engineering principles across the cluster

  • Time-series and event-driven by design — not a CRUD app with charts.
  • Standards-first: OCPP, OCPI, IEC 61850, EEBus, Marktstammdatenregister awareness.
  • Market integration (EPEX, regelleistung.net, direct marketers) as a domain primitive.
  • Investor and regulator reporting as a system output, not a manual export.
  • EU compliance and data residency by default.
Typical clients

Typical clients

Solar and storage developers, IPPs, charge point operators, energy retailers and aggregators, infrastructure investors building digital backbones for portfolios that span asset classes.

Frequently asked

Smart energy questions, answered

Why build a custom energy platform instead of using a commercial EMS or VPP product?

Off-the-shelf EMS and VPP products work when your asset mix and market strategy match the vendor's assumptions. They start to fail when you cross asset classes (solar + storage + EV), when you need custom market logic, or when investors demand reporting beyond the vendor's templates. We build the layer that the vendor cannot.

Do you implement OCPP and OCPI yourselves or use a SaaS backend?

Both options are on the table — the choice depends on portfolio size, roaming strategy, and how much of the experience must be yours. We implement OCPP 1.6 and 2.0.1 directly when the operator needs full control, and integrate SaaS backends when it accelerates time to market without trapping you later.

How do you handle market integration (EPEX, balancing, direct marketing)?

Market integration is treated as a domain primitive — not a CSV export. Day-ahead, intraday and balancing flows are modeled as first-class events with full audit trail. Direct marketers and traders connect via standard interfaces, and reconciliation is automated, not done in spreadsheets.

What about Marktstammdatenregister, MaStR and German regulatory reporting?

Regulatory reporting is built into the data model from day one — MaStR registration, Redispatch 2.0, EEG and KWKG flows where applicable. The system produces the regulator's view as a normal output, not as a special process.

Can the platform scale from a single-asset pilot to a multi-portfolio operation?

Yes — that is the architectural assumption. Multi-tenant, asset-class-aware, with portfolio aggregation as a built-in concept. The same system serves a 10 MW pilot and a multi-GW portfolio without a rewrite.
